This April, Beijing released the 6.0 version of its business environment optimization reform plan, designating Beijing E-Town as a comprehensive demonstration zone for business environment enhancement.
Beijing E-Town has now proposed 97 reform measures across 25 aspects. Among these measures, 29 are leading at the national or city level, driving the area to maintain a leading position in the city's business environment.
On May 7, the Beijing Smart Integrated Media Innovation Center opened at 9 Yongchang North Road, Beijing E-Town.
This is Beijing's first digital industry community that aggregates the industrial ecosystem around integrated media content production.
In the future, this space, which gathers content production, audio-visual technology application sharing, and innovation incubation, will become a landmark business card for media integration in Beijing and a new standard for the digital industry.
As one of the 29 pilot measures, Beijing E-Town is also promoting the construction of a leading area for global digital economy benchmark cities, attracting data-oriented companies to settle in the area. The Information Technology Application Innovation (ITAI) by Tongming Lake has already gathered over 90 percent of the country's top information technology companies.
The pilot measures also encourage banks to engage in green financial services, revitalize corporate carbon assets through methods like carbon emission rights pledging, and assist companies in achieving green transformation and upgrading.
Furthermore, as Beijing's first international talent community with a scale of over one million square meters, Beijing E-Town is promoting a balance between work and residence, creating a supporting service talent matrix. Upon completion, it will provide 304 sets of expert apartments.
In early January of this year, the China Construction Bank's Beijing Development Zone Branch successfully opened a multi-currency unified unit bank settlement account for a foreign trade enterprise in Beijing E-Town. This became the first commercial bank to practice a combined local and foreign currency bank settlement account system in Beijing.
Currently, all 16 communities in Beijing E-Town have achieved full coverage of standardized government service construction, providing residents in the jurisdiction with one-stop services through a comprehensive window.
