Back in September 2022, the "Two Zones" office of Beijing E-Town led many enterprises and organizations to apply for the founding of the Foreign-funded Enterprise Branch of the Beijing E-Town Enterprise Association. The move aims to improve services for foreign enterprises and organizations in the area, optimize the business environment for foreign investment, foster continuous growth for foreign enterprises and institutions and attract more foreign investment resources, thereby promoting the construction of the "Two Zones" and industrial upgrading.

Zheng Haitao, deputy director of the Beijing E-Town Administrative Committee, extended warm congratulations on the founding of the Foreign-funded Enterprise Branch and expressed appreciation for the significant contributions of foreign-funded enterprises to the development of Beijing E-Town.

Zheng remarked, "The Foreign-funded Enterprise Branch should stand as a bridge connecting the local government and enterprises, a glue for investment promotion channels and a watcher of the business environment, so as to become the preferred “home for foreign-funded enterprises”. Meanwhile, Beijing E-Town remains committed to providing high-quality services with the highest enthusiasm to help foreign-funded enterprises thrive and prosper.”

Li Dongming, deputy executive director of the "Two Zones" office of Beijing E-Town, was elected as chairperson of the Foreign-funded Enterprise Branch of Beijing E-Town. The heads of 11 companies, including Schneider (Beijing) Low Voltage Electrical, Bayer Healthcare, Beijing ABB Bailey Engineering, and Biotech Pharmaceutical were elected as vice-chairpersons.

Since the establishment of Beijing E-Town, it has attracted 965 foreign-funded enterprises and the actual use of foreign capital has reached $10.82 billion. Witnessing and promoting the rapid development of Beijing E-Town, foreign-funded enterprises have become an indispensable driving force for its growth. With the founding of the Foreign-funded Enterprise Branch, these enterprises will have a dedicated "home" in the area.

In the future, the Foreign-funded Enterprise Branch of Beijing E-Town will offer better services, establish the brand of "home for foreign-funded enterprises" and serve as a platform for investment promotion. It will stand as an important bridge connecting foreign-funded enterprises, the local government and various kinds of market service entities, so as to attract more foreign-funded enterprises to set up operations in Beijing E-Town.

Representatives from the China Council for International Investment Promotion, the Beijing E-Town Enterprise Association, the "Two Zones" office of Beijing E-Town, and key foreign-funded enterprises in the area attended the meeting.
