At the recent 2024 Beijing E-Town Conference on Optimizing the Business Environment and Promoting High-Quality Development, representatives of Beijing E-Town Economic Development Bureau released the 2024 E-Town Opportunity List focusing on major investment projects in the area.

Beijing E-Town will begin construction this year on 44 industrial projects with a total investment of 161.3 billion yuan ($22.32 billion).

It will begin four projects in the commercial aerospace field this year with a total investment of 18.2 billion yuan. 

A spokesperson for Beijing E-Town revealed that the commercial aerospace common technology research and production base project will cover an area of nearly 100 mu (about 6.67 hectares), and the construction is expected to get underway in April. It is scheduled to begin operation by the end of 2025.

In the field of next-generation information technology, Beijing E-Town will start four new projects in 2024 with a total investment of 12.6 billion yuan. 

The Phase I project of the National Information Technology Application Innovation Park at Tongming Lake will upon completion provide 670,000 square meters of industrial space. 

Simultaneously, the area is accelerating construction of a public intelligent computing power center with a scale of 2,000P (1P is approximately equal to a computing speed of 10 quadrillion times per second).

There are 16 projects in the integrated circuit field with a total investment of 88.3 billion yuan; 10 projects in the biotechnology and health fields with a total investment of 13 billion yuan; 10 projects in the automotive and intelligent manufacturing field with a total investment of 10.5 billion yuan.

"In 2024, we will also start construction on 91 infrastructure and people's livelihood security projects covering multiple areas -- such as transportation facilities, resource energy, public services and ecological environment -- with a total investment of 24.3 billion yuan," said a representative of the Beijing E-Town Economic Development Bureau.
