The industrial and social development of Beijing Economic and Technological Development Area, or Beijing E-Town hit the acceleration button in 2024. 

In the first quarter, all directions within the area simultaneously sounded the "commencement signal", and all 10 key municipal projects in Beijing began construction. 

These projects focus on the  modern industrial system, infrastructure improvement, projects benefiting people's livelihoods, and other practical matters. They have a total investment of approximately 6.1 billion yuan ($840 million), effectively boosting the momentum and laying a good foundation for economic and social development in the first quarter.

The groundbreaking ceremony for the supporting bulk gas station project for the sixth-generation new type of semiconductor display devices of BOE (Beijing Oriental Electronics) was held in Beijing E-Town, officially initiating construction and contributing to the industrialization process of enterprises.

Industrial development requires matching infrastructure. At the southwest corner of the intersection of the southern Sixth Ring Road and the Beijing-Shanghai Expressway, within the Southern Jinqiao Science and Technology Industrial Base, two warehouses are currently being built, which is the Shemeng North China Supply Chain Management Center project that commenced not too long ago.

Furthermore, in various fields, the assembly of projects is underway. For example, the Huankedong Second Road (Jingsheng Middle Street-Jingsheng South Second Street) road project will construct a new road of 0.6 kilometers; and the construction of the new water pipeline project for Huangyi Road (Jinshi Street-Yizhuang Waterworks) will build a new 5.5-kilometer water main line. The projects in various fields will further strengthen the infrastructure  of Beijing E-Town and enhance its ability to support high-quality development.
