Zhang Qiang urges more efforts to be made to continue the good momentum of economic operation at Beijing E-Town

Zhang Qiang, secretary of the CPC Beijing E-Town Working Committee, presided over a special meeting on economic operations to review and summarize the economic performance in the first quarter of this year and to discuss and plan key tasks for the second quarter, on April 17.

Reports on the first quarter's economic performance and the second quarter's economic coordination plans were received at the meeting. Various departments, specialized teams, and towns analyzed their performance in the first quarter and outlined their goals and measures for the second quarter.

At the meeting, it is also noted that since the beginning of this year, leaders across Beijing E-Town have been proactive, committing themselves to frequent visits to enterprises and making precise adjustments.

Departments, special work groups, towns, and state-owned enterprises have demonstrated effective promotion efforts and advanced planning, tapping their potentials to seek new sources of growth.

The need to further expand and strengthen the leading industries in the second quarter was stressed at the meeting, and the necessity to reinforce, supplement, extend, and consolidate industry chains is also highligted.

It is crucial to explore new momentum in emerging industries such as synthetic biology and commercial aerospace, using high-end, digital, and green technologies to accelerate new industrialization.

Efforts should be made to promote equipment renewal and product replacement through fiscal subsidies, financial tools, platform support, and enterprise concessions, aiming to combine boosting consumption with industrial inventory reduction to improve the production-to-sales ratio.

The meeting also called for creating an outstanding business environment through the efforts of government employees and management personel by serving as a pioneering force and providing excellent services to businesses.

Policy should be utilized effectively, with in-depth visits to enterprises to address their concerns and challenges, maximizing corporate vitality. The transformation of talent into technology commercialization and industrialization should be pursued, leveraging talent advantages to drive industrial development.
