Beijing E-Town has released nine policies on supporting the high-quality development of foreign-invested enterprises.
Beijing E-Town has optimized and upgraded several policies, providing stronger support for the establishment and development of foreign-invested enterprises and projects. The newly revised policies focus on two main tasks: attracting foreign investment and serving foreign enterprises.
The foreign-investment-related support policies include supporting the establishment of multinational company headquarters, reinvestment by existing foreign-invested enterprises, and the construction of foreign-invested R&D centers. The aim of the new policies is for broader coverage and stronger support.
For the foreign investment contribution rewards provided to newly established multinational company headquarters, high-tech industry foreign-invested enterprises and foreign-invested service enterprises, the "Nine Policies on Foreign Investment" extend the reward period from "one year from the date of establishment" to "within the policy's validity period as long as the conditions are met for the year".
Regarding support for the establishment of multinational company headquarters, the "Nine Policies on Foreign Investment" state that Beijing E-Town will provide setup rewards and foreign investment contribution rewards, with a maximum reward of 100 million yuan ($13.76 million).
According to the implementation rules, which were released at the same time as the new policies, the support scope for headquarters enterprises has been expanded from "newly established headquarters enterprises" to "newly established (including newly recognized and newly relocated) headquarters enterprises".
Additionally, in supporting the development of high-tech industry foreign-invested enterprises, the "Nine Policies on Foreign Investment" no longer limit the support to "foreign-invested enterprises in the advanced manufacturing sector".
Instead, it targets newly established foreign-invested enterprises in high-tech industries that align with the development direction of E-Town New Area, further expanding the support scope for high-tech industries.
So far, Beijing E-Town has attracted approximately 1,300 foreign-invested enterprises from over 60 countries and regions worldwide, with 103 Fortune 500 companies investing in 158 projects.
