Recently, the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (E-Town) signed an "Economic Development Cooperation Letter of Intent" with Automation Research Institute of the China South Industries Group Corporation and More Hydrogen Technology. Upon signing, More Hydrogen Technology will take the lead to establish a project company in E-Town, carry out product promotion work, and invest in production projects.
The relevant person in charge of the CSGC Automation Research Institute said, "After connecting with E-Town, we learned about the advantages of high-tech industry transformation demonstrated by its location conditions, talent resources, and policy measures. Both parties hope to cooperate with E-Town to promote the accelerated landing of the project."
It is understood that the CSGC Automation Research Institute is a domestic first-class intelligent system solution provider, focusing on weapons and equipment, smart manufacturing, smart sensing, smart measurement and control, among other fields. In the field of fuel cells, the enterprise has collaborated with Tsinghua University and the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, focusing on independent research on two technical routes: methanol fuel cells and solid-state fuel cells.
More Hydrogen Technology is a high-tech enterprise that focuses on methanol reforming hydrogen production technology and hydrogen-rich fuel cell technology. Using selective catalytic technology with independent intellectual property rights, More Hydrogen Technology has developed a long-life methanol fuel cell system, addressing the demand for electricity in various off-grid areas.
Following the recent signing, More Hydrogen Technology will take the lead in establishing a project company in E-Town to promote methanol high-temperature hydrogen-rich fuel cell products, as well as to expand both military and civilian markets. The CSGC Automation Research Institute will introduce technology, talent, customers, and other resources to the project company, and when conditions are ripe, it will inject funds to participate in operations.
As the project company's business scale expands, it plans to invest 90 million yuan in a production project in E-Town. This will involve renting 10,000 square meters of production and office space, equipping it with research and development, testing, and production facilities. The plan is to build a production line for methanol high-temperature hydrogen-rich fuel cell power generation equipment in two phases, with an annual production capacity of 10,000 units. With its advantages of convenient energy storage and transportation, strong environmental adaptability, and low cost, this technology aims to address distributed power generation needs in harsh environments, such as high altitudes, cold regions, and border areas.
E-Town will further improve its layout, covering the entire hydrogen energy industry chain. Leveraging its advantages in smart manufacturing, aerospace, information technology, and other industrial fields, E-Town aims to promote cross-sectoral cooperation among enterprises and facilitate high-quality industrial development.
