The BioPark Urban Design International Scheme Solicitation, which was opened globally, is expected to announce its winning design proposal in June.
This solicitation sought proposals for enhancing the planning and design level of the BioPark and vigorously promoting the coordinated improvement of the innovation ecosystem of the pharmaceutical and health industry and the urban spatial quality.
This solicitation attracted 29 consortia, composed of 62 international firms from seven countries and eight provincial-level administrative regions, demonstrating the global appeal of BioPark.
The solicitation work covers overall regional planning research (7.9 square kilometers), general urban design (5.5 square kilometers), and in-depth development of six key areas (111.84 hectares), aiming to optimize functional layout, highlight characteristic features, enhance spatial quality and guide the high-level construction and high-quality development of the area.
Five high-level international and domestic design consortiums have been selected as the participating design units, and the first round of plan presentations is scheduled to take place in mid-April, with the winning plan set to be announced in June.
