'E-Town-made' lidar enables robots to be 'smarter and clear-sighted'

LiangDao, a company in the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (Beijing E-Town), recently released the solid-state Flash short-range lidar LD Gen2 Lite. Acting like an "electronic wise eye", it enables robots' high-precision environmental perception capabilities, and "seeing" the surrounding environment clearly.

When operating in complex environments, robots require high-precision stereo perception and real-time sensing capabilities. Liangdao's LD Gen2 Lite solid-state lidar, which uses Flash technology, enables robots to have a wider field of vision and more accurate perception and positioning.

The radar has an ultra-wide field of view of 120°×90° and a detection range of up to 30 meters, allowing for precise capture of environmental information in a broader range. Compared with vision positioning technologies that rely on cameras, laser radar provides more accurate positioning. It does not rely on ambient light sources and can work normally even in dark environments. By measuring the shape and distance of objects, it can accurately position even in low-texture scenarios such as blank walls or reflective surfaces.

LiangDao's laser radar has 192 ultra-high beams, reaching the current industry-leading level, which enables the creation of clearer and more accurate point cloud models. Combined with advanced algorithms and multi-sensor fusion, it reduces positioning errors, optimizes path planning solutions and supports high-precision navigation for robots.
