The Beijing humanoid robot open-source community -- opensource.x-humanoid-cloud -- was officially launched in April.
The platform has features such as blogs, forum discussions, showcasing technical documents, displaying open-source projects, event announcements, expert scholar certifications and releasing open-source courses.
By sharing core technologies and research resources, the platform aims to promote global developer collaboration, accelerate industrial technological breakthroughs, and establish a foundational platform for talent cultivation, technological iteration and industrial implementation in the field of embodied intelligent robotics.
The Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Center, a national-level innovation platform for embodied intelligent robotics, has always focused on key technological breakthroughs and building an industry ecosystem. Through the open-source general robot Tiangong, the large-scale multi-configuration intelligent robot dataset and benchmark "RoboMIND", and the embodied algorithm training toolchain compatible with mainstream open-source frameworks, it has established a leading open-source system for embodied intelligent technology.
Key technical materials -- such as the Tiangong software development documentation, structural design documentation, and URDF documentation -- have been opened up to the industry.
Tiangong is the world's first full-size purely electric-driven humanoid robot capable of running like a human. Its tested average speed can reach up to 10 kilometers per hour and its top running speed of 12 kilometers per hour is now the global leader. It can smoothly move on various complex terrains, such as slopes, stairs, grass, gravel and sand. Due to its excellent compatibility and scalability, with the ability to flexibly expand software, hardware, and other functional modules, Tiangong fully meets the requirements of different scenarios. It has become an important hardware platform for collaborative innovation among industry, academia and research institutions.
There are now over 100 partners who have conducted secondary development based on the Tiangong platform for various application scenarios. Moreover, the RoboMIND dataset has been downloaded over 15,000 times from the official website of the Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Center, the HuggingFace platform, and the Beijing Artificial Intelligence Public Computing Platform.
The Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Center, driven by open source, will continue to promote breakthroughs in humanoid artificial intelligence technology and synergistic development with the industry.
