A high-end closed-door conference on humanoid robots was held in Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (Beijing E-Town) on Tuesday, bringing together government regulatory authorities, leading experts in robotics and embodied intelligence, humanoid robot innovation centers, industry entrepreneurs, investors, and professionals from various fields to jointly explore the future prospects of humanoid robots.

At the conference, the Chinese Institute of Electronics introduced the Humanoid Robot Standard System Framework, providing the industry with comprehensive standards guidance for "technology - product - application".

Breakthroughs in humanoid robot technology are accelerating, and the industry is undergoing a crucial leap from laboratory settings to consumer markets, and from single-scene applications to diverse scenarios. Establishing a scientifically rational and systematically comprehensive humanoid robot standard system has become an essential requirement for the healthy development of the industry. Therefore, over 120 robot enterprises, research institutes, and universities jointly compiled this framework.

This framework covers five parts of the standard system: basic commonality, key technologies, components, complete machines and systems, and applications, comprehensively covering the entire technological chain of humanoid robots in the "perception-decision-execution" and core product areas.

This conference not only paved the way for the industry's development but also deepened industrial understanding through on-site investigations. The attending guests visited Robot World, UBTECH, and the innovative achievements of Tiangong humanoid robots.

As the main hub for Beijing's high-end development and the permanent venue for the World Robot Conference, the scale of the robot industry chain in Beijing E-Town has exceeded 10 billion yuan ($1.39 billion), accounting for 50 percent of the total in the capital city. More than 300 robot and embodied intelligent ecosystem enterprises are now gathered in E-Town.

From August 8 to 12 this year, Beijing E-Town will host the 2025 World Robot Conference. A vibrant and innovative leading demonstration new area in the field of embodied intelligent robotics industry will flourish in Beijing E-Town.
