The "Promoting win-win development – China-UK industry cooperation dialogue" took place in the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (Beijing E-Town) on Monday.
The event brought together over 200 AI experts, scholars, and representatives from China and the UK, as well as Ireland, to explore the application and technological cooperation of AI in industries such as biomedicine, new energy, and intelligent manufacturing.
During the event, the 48 Group China Representative Office in Beijing E-Town was officially put into operation, while two cooperation agreements were signed.
The 48 Group was established in 1954 and has long been committed to promoting friendly and mutually beneficial cooperation between China and the UK, accumulating rich business resources and a wide industry network. Its China representative office will leverage the industrial advantages of Beijing E-Town in areas such as artificial intelligence and the digital economy, focusing on technology exchange, project incubation, and enterprise services.

Virax Biolabs and P4 China-UK Precision Medicine Innovation Center signed a cooperation agreement on channel expansion in China, aiming to promote the application of AI-driven medical diagnostic technologies in the Chinese market.
The Ireland-based ESP Science and Technology Innovation and Investment Promotion Service Center and Beijing E-Town International Service Trade Co agreed to further integrate resources, and strengthen cooperation in areas such as information sharing, resource connection, trade matching, industry forums, technology exchange, and talent training.
In the keynote speech session, a number of experts from the AI field in China and the UK talked about the development of artificial intelligence technology and their predictions on future trends, delving into discussions on technology innovation and international cooperation, exploring the possibilities for collaboration and the impact of AI on various sectors.
The forum also featured segments dedicated to policy promotion, project matchmaking, and targeted negotiations.
Beijing E-Town, as a forefront in China's AI industrialization, hosts 600 core enterprises in the AI industry chain, with an industrial scale exceeding 80 billion yuan ($11.07 billion). It is expected that by the end of this year, it will establish a leading national AI industry ecosystem cluster.
In the future, Beijing E-Town will join hands with partners from the UK to enable more AI achievements to move from the laboratory to the production line, making Sino-British AI cooperation a "model example" of global technological collaboration.
