During the Dragon Boat Festival, the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (Beijing E-Town) took on a unique festive atmosphere. With the continuous rise in popularity of industrial, technological, and tourism models, the area became a popular choice for locals to spend their holidays.
Xiaomi YU7
As a demonstration site for industrial tourism in Beijing, the Xiaomi car factory experience center was bustling with visitors. The recently released new energy SUV model YU7 garnered attention with its sleek design and high-tech features. The titanium metallic YU7 attracted many onlookers who gazed or reached out to touch it, trying to explore it from every angle.
Jiao Pengfei, manager of the Xiaomi car super factory store, said the store would typically sees 20 to 30 groups of customers a day. On the day of Dragon Boat Festival, the number shot up to around 110 groups, which is three times the usual flow.
"The 'YU7' model is currently quite popular, with some customers even traveling over 100 kilometers specifically to come and appreciate it," Jiao said.
Sky Castle in Beijing E-Town attracted many families with children with its "aerospace + study tour" model, unlocking the mystery of China's aerospace rise and showcasing the vast charm of space. Leveraging the industrial cluster advantages of Beijing E-Town in the commercial aerospace field, Sky Castle has created Beijing's first interactive aerospace model exhibition hall.
Children immerse themselves in watching films to learn about aerospace.
With the continuous rise in industrial science and technology tourism models, this year, Beijing E-Town will focus on three industrial tourism boutique routes and 10 demonstration scenes to launch 12 distinctive activities in a bid to continuously enhance the brand influence of Beijing E-Town.
