A pure electric unmanned mining truck developed by Rock-AI

Rock-AI, an enterprise in Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (Beijing E-Town), has signed a contract with the Alxa League gold mine in Inner Mongolia for the provision of pure electric unmanned mining trucks.

The first batch of 40 of the independently developed trucks are expected to be deployed on site, providing a benchmark demonstration for the intelligent and green transformation of the mine.

These vehicles, based on pure electric mining trucks, have undergone intelligent upgrades, possessing characteristics such as high endurance, strong power, and adaptability to all scenarios. They can meet the demands of heavy loads uphill and continuous operations in the mining area. Through vehicle-road-cloud collaborative technology, they ensure high attendance rates, avoiding efficiency fluctuations and safety hazards associated with traditional manual driving modes. Particularly, by deploying pure electric unmanned driving mining trucks, this project will achieve a green transportation mode with "zero diesel consumption, zero tailpipe emissions".

This project marks the third key one of Rock-AI has landed in 2025. According to the responsible person of the company, "This project not only signifies the harvest period of our strategic layout in resource-rich regions like Xinjiang and Inner Mongolia but also marks the acceleration phase of the company's 'unmanned driving + new energy' solutions in various mining scenarios."

In recent years, leveraging its long-term technological accumulation and modular R&D capabilities, Rock-AI has achieved the flexibility to configure vehicle types and maintenance service modes based on the operational characteristics of different types of mines such as metal mines, coal mines, and construction material mines, as well as the personalized requirements of mining areas.

According to the cooperation plan, the large-scale gold mine project in Alxa League is set to achieve a breakthrough of over 100 unmanned mining trucks within the year. The unmanned operation and maintenance will gradually expand to cover all process links, ultimately aiming to realize the goal of the "first fully unmanned intelligent gold mine in the country".

Rock-AI will continue to strengthen its ecological layout in core mineral areas, accelerating the construction of a nationwide intelligent mining unmanned service network. This initiative aims to provide a more universally applicable "E-Town solution" for the green and intelligent transformation of the mining industry.
