On June 23, Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong visited the Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Center in the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (Beijing E-Town).

At the exhibition hall of the Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Center, Wong explored the development history of humanoid intelligent robots, the global top humanoid robots holographic image display area, and the core components exhibition area of humanoid robots.

Wong delved into the world of robotics, witnessing the TianGong 2.0 robot’s motion control demonstration, and exploring the World Robot Conference’s structure. He marveled at the diverse applications of intelligent robots in industries, healthcare, bionics, remote operations, and home life scenarios. Wong even cheered on participants in the thrilling humanoid robot half-marathon race. He engaged in in-depth discussions with the head of the innovation center to understand the research and operational models of the center, as well as the collaboration in research and talent exchange between the center and Singapore.

Wong congratulated Beijing on the fruitful achievements in the development of the robotics industry and expressed willingness to actively cooperate with Beijing in areas such as robotics technology development.

Yin Yong, mayor of Beijing, stated that Beijing has abundant scientific and technological talent resources, and technological innovation is vibrant, with efforts being made to accelerate the cultivation of future industries such as robotics.

Yin highlighted that Beijing is willing to take the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Singapore as an opportunity to deepen mutual and beneficial cooperation in scientific and technological innovation between Beijing and Singapore, thereby contributing to the continuous advancement of the relationship between the two countries.
