GHF 2025 Beijing Conference to kick off in Beijing E-Town

The Global Health Forum of the Boao Forum for Asia (GHF) 2025 Beijing Conference will be held in the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (Beijing E-Town) from July 24 to 25. More than 70 global political leaders, government and international organization officials, top scholars, and renowned business leaders will attend this event, jointly promoting global health governance and innovative development.

The guest lineup at this forum is impressive. Ban Ki-moon, former United Nations secretary-general and chairman of the Boao Forum for Asia, along with health ministers from countries such as Nepal and Pakistan, and former Presidents of the United Nations General Assembly, will gather in Beijing E-Town to deliver important speeches.

Over 10 international organizations, including the World Health Organization and UN agencies in China, will participate in sub-forum discussions. They will contribute their wisdom to improve public health systems, strengthen global health governance, promote sustainable development of the health industry, and advance the construction of a global health community for human health.

The academic and industry elites will also gather together on site. Renowned domestic experts such as Gao Fu, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and researcher at the Institute of Microbiology, CAS, and Liang Wannian, executive vice dean of the Vanke School of Public Health, Tsinghua University, will engage in various topical discussions.

International experts such as the Editor-in-Chief of The BMJ and representatives from the Singapore Synthetic Biology Alliance will bring cutting-edge perspectives. Industry leaders from the medical health industry will share innovative practices and collaboration opportunities in the healthcare industry.

Beijing E-Town, the venue of the forum, is attracting global attention with its vibrant biopharmaceutical industry ecosystem and innovative environment. Currently, there are over 5,000 biopharmaceutical companies in the area. By 2024, the output value of the biotechnology and healthcare industry in the region accounted for about 45 percent of the city's total, establishing it as the core area for the capital's pharmaceutical and healthcare industry. The construction of the BioPark is also accelerating, with top international projects such as Bayer, AstraZeneca, Medtronic, and Pfizer successively settling in, accelerating the rise of a globally influential biopharmaceutical innovation hub.

The current forum is being held at a critical moment in the global health industry's development, providing new ideas for global health governance and international cooperation in the context of major global changes, injecting new momentum into the innovative development of the medical and health industry. During the forum, Beijing E-Town will deepen exchanges and connections with international organizations and multinational corporations in an open manner, promote practical cooperation in the global health field, and further consolidate Beijing's important position in the national and global biopharmaceutical industry landscape.
