The 2025 World Robot Conference (WRC) will be held at the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Area (Beijing E-Town) from August 8 to 12.
This year, the conference, themed "Making Robots Smarter, Making Embodied Agents More Intelligent", will include activities such as the opening ceremony, closing ceremony, and forums. At the same time, there will also be events such as the world robot expo and the world robot competition.
Since its establishment, the WRC has been committed to gathering global experts and talents, building an international platform for exchange and cooperation. The main forum of the conference this year will invite experts, scholars, and industry leaders from renowned international organizations and countries and regions such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, and the United Arab Emirates to share the latest research progress, cutting-edge technological developments, innovative research results in the global robotics field, and to promote global robot innovation, development, and win-win cooperation.
Meanwhile, the world robot expo is becoming a hub for cutting-edge technologies and applications in the robotics industry, attracting widespread attention from various sectors of society. This year's expo will feature an innovation pavilion, technology pavilion, and application pavilion, with over 200 top domestic and international companies expected to participate. The focus will be on showcasing industrial robots, humanoid robots, service robots, specialized robots, as well as robot application scenarios, key components, and more. Over a hundred new products will debut, presenting the latest developments and future trends in the global robotics industry.
At the same time, the world robot competition will consist of three major events: the inclusive robot challenge, the brain-controlled robot competition, and the youth robot design competition. It is expected to see over 6,000 teams and more than 10,000 elite competitors from nearly 20 countries worldwide, all competing on the same stage.
As the permanent host city of the WRC, Beijing E-Town has gathered over 300 robotics and embodied intelligent ecosystem companies. It has established a "1+6" industrial system comprising core components plus humanoid robots, industrial robots, specialized robots, medical robots, collaborative robots, and logistics robots. The robotics industry chain in the area exceeds a scale of over 10 billion yuan ($1.39 billion), accounting for half of the city's total, making it an important hub for the robotics industry in Beijing.
