The 2025 World Robot Conference (WRC) concluded in the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (Beijing E-Town) on Aug 12.
This year's conference featured a three-day main forum and 31 series of events, uniting 416 experts, scholars, entrepreneurs, and representatives from international organizations. They shared insights on new technologies, products, and applications. The conference also saw the release of 123 new products and the publication of the Proceedings of Advanced Robotics and Automation (2025).
A total of 220 well-known domestic and international robotics companies participated in the event, including 60 core component companies, showcasing 1,569 products. The total financing amount reached 1.48 billion yuan ($206.15 million).
The conference hosted the inaugural "E-Town Robotics Consumer Festival", featuring attractions such as the Robot World and a Robotics 4S Store. A total of 19,000 robots and related products were sold, with sales exceeding 200 million yuan.
This year's WRC attracted 271,000 in-person attendees, while the live broadcast of the conference and competitions was viewed by 52 million people, marking a 62 percent increase from the previous event. It has become a highly influential event in the global robotics field.
This year's event was the WRC's 10 editions and has played a crucial role as a promoter, participant, and witness in the historic transformation of China's robotics industry from small to large and from large to strong. Looking ahead, the conference will continue to uphold its core principles of openness, inclusivity, and mutual benefit. It aims to collaborate with many partners to contribute wisdom and strength to the prosperity of the global robotics industry and to open a new chapter in the high-quality development of the robotics sector.
