The Beijing E-Town Comprehensive Bonded Zone recently passed inspection, marking the imminent operational launch of Beijing's fourth comprehensive bonded zone and the nation's first comprehensive bonded zone themed "new quality productivity." This is an important milestone in Beijing E-Town's efforts to fully support the opening up of high-tech industries.
During the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25), the number of comprehensive bonded zones in Beijing increased from one to four, forming a high-level, distinctive, and collaborative pattern of opening up to the outside world. This includes the Tianzhu Comprehensive Bonded Zone, Beijing Daxing International Airport Comprehensive Bonded Zone, Zhongguancun Comprehensive Bonded Zone, and Beijing E-Town Comprehensive Bonded Zone.
Receiving the certificate of qualification marks a critical step for the Beijing E-Town Comprehensive Bonded Zone toward its formal operation. This is not only an important manifestation of Beijing's efforts to promote high-level opening up but also a key achievement in serving national strategies and deepening the development of the "two zones".
As the capital's only national-level economic development zone, Beijing E-Town will strengthen the deep integration of industrial and institutional openness. Leveraging the institutional innovation advantages of the "two zones" initiative, the area aims to enhance trade internationalization capabilities and the level of cross-border service provision, contributing the "E-Town experience" to the high-quality development of comprehensive bonded zones nationwide.
