The 28th Beijing-Taiwan Science and Technology Forum will be held in the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (Beijing E-Town) from Sept 19 to 21.

This year's forum will focus on cross-strait technological innovation and industrial cooperation, uniting various stakeholders from government, industry, academia, research, and application sectors. The aim is to help Taiwanese businesses and enterprises seize new productivity development opportunities in Chinese mainland and promote the quality and upgrading of cross-strait science and technology innovation centers.

As a well-known brand event for cross-strait economic, trade, and technological exchanges, the Beijing-Taiwan Science and Technology Forum has been held 27 times, becoming an important high-level and authoritative platform in the field of science and technology across the strait.

This year's forum will feature an opening ceremony and main forum, four parallel forums, and a series of additional activities.

During the event, a strategic cooperation agreement signing ceremony will take place to jointly establish a Cross-Strait Smart Healthcare Industry Cooperation Demonstration Zone. The forum will also announce the achievements in the construction of cross-strait science and technology innovation centers, organize concentrated signings of cross-strait economic, trade, and technology cooperation projects, and promote the implementation of a number of practical cooperation projects.

The main forum will also invite experts, scholars, and industry representatives from the science and technology fields on both sides of the strait to deliver keynote speeches on developing new productivity and deepening cooperation.

In addition, this year's forum will host four parallel forums covering areas such as digital and green coordinated development, healthcare and wellness, technology finance, and new energy intelligent connected vehicles. It will also plan a series of themed ancillary activities throughout the year, including events focused on biotechnology, intellectual property, and the modernization of traditional Chinese medicine.

In recent years, the Beijing-Taiwan Science and Technology Forum has played an important role in promoting cross-strait joint research and development, results transformation, and industrial cooperation. This year's forum will continue to carry the important mission of deepening cross-strait technological exchanges and expanding new areas of cooperation, promoting the sharing of resources for mutual benefit across the strait.
