The 2025 GT World Challenge will take place from Oct 17 to 19 in Beijing E-Town. As a top-tier event certified by the FIA, its debut as a street race in Beijing not only fills the gap of international-level automotive events in the city over the past decade but also enriches the event landscape of the city for hosting the dual Olympics.
This event features the deep integration of "sports + technology + industry" as its core characteristic, aligning perfectly with Beijing E-Town's positioning as a "world-class hub for intelligent and connected vehicles." Through innovative segments such as the New Energy Safe Driving Carnival and Autonomous Driving Safety and Efficiency Technology Show, it will comprehensively showcase the capital's technological and innovation prowess, serving as a model project that promotes industry through competition and highlights the city's stature.
In the 2025 GT World Challenge Asia Cup, the event is primarily divided into two formats: street races and circuit races. Although both belong to the GT racing system, there are significant differences in track design, race strategy, vehicle tuning, and spectator experience. The decision to conclude this year's event with a street race is a strategic decision made by the organizers based on various considerations.
Street races takes place on temporarily closed public roads, with fixed buildings and barriers lining both sides of the track. The road surfaces are highly variable, presenting significant challenges for drivers. Drivers must frequently adjust their speed to respond to sudden changes in the road conditions, and vehicles need enhanced suspension adaptability and steering precision.
This GT World Challenge event in Beijing E-Town features a temporary FIA Grade 3 street circuit, stretching 4.9 kilometers with 12 challenging turns. The track winds around Tongming Lake Park, offering spectacular scenery and great viewing opportunities.
Street racing is not just a test of speed but also a challenge of precision control and adaptability. Additionally, spectators can experience the thrill of racing up close.
The Beijing E-Town street race is currently in the final stages of construction. From Oct 17 to 19, it is set to become the perfect stage for the GT World Asia Cup annual championship battle.
