Medtronic's first digital healthcare innovation center in China starts operation

Medtronic Digital Healthcare Innovation Center and Medtronic Museum were recently launched at the BioPark in the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (Beijing E-Town).

As Medtronic's first digital healthcare innovation center in China, the center's opening further strengthens Medtronic's full value chain layout in the country and injects new momentum into the high-quality development of "AI + Healthcare" in Beijing E-Town.

The center is dedicated to developing disease management solutions based on artificial intelligence and big data, with a focus on areas such as cardiovascular health, minimally invasive surgery, and neuroscience. It aims to establish a high-level digital healthcare innovation center and create a digital patient service center, using advanced technology to enhance the service level of patient disease prevention and management.

Leveraging this center, Medtronic hopes to explore new patient-centered smart healthcare models, offering more personalized, intelligent and efficient treatment options, as well as seeking to transform Chinese medical practices into innovative models with global significance.

The center has also established Medtronic's first "Medtronic Museum" outside of the United States. Through diverse educational approaches and interactive experiences, the museum vividly showcases the evolution and breakthroughs in medical technology, demystifying medical science for the public. It also creates an immersive exploratory space for young people, planting the seeds for pursuing advancements in medicine.

From establishing its first representative office in China to the signing and establishment of the Medtronic Digital Healthcare Innovation Center in Beijing E-Town, Medtronic has been accelerating its efforts to deepen its presence in the Chinese market. The progress of the Medtronic project is also a vivid example of Beijing E-Town's rapid development into a demonstration zone for AI-enabled applications in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry.

As of now, Beijing E-Town has attracted over 50 AI medical companies, including those involved in AI-driven drug development and medical service providers, offering professional services for medical data management and annotation.
