The 2025 Beijing Overseas Chinese Talent Conference for Development was held in the Beijing E-Town from Nov 3 to 5.
The conference focused closely on the tasks of building Beijing as an international center for scientific and technological innovation and the "Two Zones" initiative. It aimed to attract high-quality resources from the global overseas Chinese community to the capital, promote the deep integration of cutting-edge technology and future industries, and facilitate the implementation and transformation of innovative achievements by overseas Chinese in Beijing.
The conference focused on establishing four core functional platforms: a multi-dimensional service docking platform, a full-chain project implementation platform, a forward-looking empowerment development platform, and an open platform for the gathering of overseas Chinese intelligence. These platforms will ensure that overseas Chinese talents and resources are effectively attracted, received, utilized, and developed optimally.
Moreover, this conference has highlighted "three precise connections": firstly, precise connection in industrial tracks to facilitate discussions on cutting-edge technological achievements among high-level overseas talents, quality enterprises, and domestic technology innovation entities. Secondly, a bilateral connection of "bringing in" and "going out" widely links high-tech overseas talents with cutting-edge projects. Thirdly, the integration of short-term activities with long-term services aims to advance liaison services and the connection of overseas Chinese capital and intelligence towards platformization, normalization, and institutionalization.
As the host location of the conference, Beijing E-Town is not only the main hub for high-tech industries and a gathering place for high-level talent in the capital, but also a hotbed for innovation, entrepreneurship, and investment, as well as a platform for international exchange with the overseas Chinese community. In the first half of 2025, the region's GDP grew by 12.3 percent, and its total industrial output value increased by 15.6 percent, ranking first in growth among national-level economic development areas. The total talent pool has reached 400,000 people, maintaining an annual growth rate of over 8 percent. It hosts over 100,000 market entities from 67 countries and regions, with more than 1,530 foreign-invested enterprises.
Moving forward, Beijing E-Town unite the overseas Chinese community through this conference, gathering their wisdom to enable more overseas Chinese businesses, enterprises, and talents to take root and flourish in Beijing E-Town, achieving great success!
