The 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE) is being held in Shanghai until Nov 10. Beijing E-Town is participating to highlight its achievements of "technology + openness".
This year at the CIIE, Beijing E-Town will showcase its cutting-edge technological achievements, including humanoid robots, autonomous driving, and glasses-free 3D displays. The exhibition will also feature a diverse range of activities, such as robot performances, new consumer scenario experiences, three targeted closed-door meetings, and the "E-Town night" networking dinner. These events will fully demonstrate the area's top-tier industrial ecosystem and international business environment, offering global cooperation opportunities and gathering innovative elements.
As the world's first national-level expo with an import theme, the CIIE serves as a crucial "window" for China to open its market to the world. This year's expo, themed "New Era, Shared Future," focuses on the development of emerging industries and particularly supports the participation of small and medium-sized enterprises and overseas organizations.
Beijing E-Town aligns with the theme of "emerging industries" and uses "upgrading and expanding consumption" as a starting point to systematically showcase how it leverages high-tech and innovative technologies to lead in upgrading consumer goods, expanding service consumption, cultivating new consumption models, and innovating consumption scenarios. This highlights its strength and leadership in the field of technological innovation.
The Beijing E-Town exhibition area features the "I am the Champion" series of robot displays and new consumer scenario experiences based on autonomous driving technology, vividly showcasing E-Town's cutting-edge explorations in the integration of intelligent technology and consumption.
In the field of autonomous driving, the autonomous shuttle bus brought by Beijing E-Town showcases its safe and stable operational capabilities and its applications in scenarios such as mobile retail and entertainment sightseeing.
Additionally, with the use of BOE's glasses-free 3D screens and LLVision's VR glasses, the exhibition area achieves an experiential upgrade from "screen" to "scenario" and from "seeing" to "immersion," demonstrating Beijing E-Town's latest breakthroughs in display technology.
During the CIIE, Beijing E-Town will also host a series of promotional events to comprehensively showcase its open and innovative ecosystem and first-class business environment. These events aim to precisely connect with international resources, strategically attract high-end projects, and effectively expand the cooperation network. Efforts will be made to actively visit the headquarters of foreign enterprises in Shanghai and surrounding areas, assess key projects, and explore cooperation opportunities through in-depth discussions and exchanges.
Currently, the development of foreign enterprises in Beijing E-Town has formed a composite functional agglomeration of "headquarters + R&D + manufacturing." It has attracted over 1,530 foreign enterprises from 67 countries and regions worldwide, with 109 foreign R&D centers, accounting for 40 percent of the total in the city.
